Savage Tactical Carbon Fiber Bolt Handle Left Hand

A fully integrated Carbon Fiber bolt handle for the Savage 10/110 - 16/116 models.

The Carbon Fiber handle screws directly into a skeletonized bolt collar CNC machined from 4140 ordnance steel.  The steel collars are QPQ nitrided resulting in a high surface hardness and dry lubricity for a very slick movement over the rear baffle

** Note:  Some fitting may be required **  Minor modification of the steel collar may be required!  With so many models and sub models of different vintages including more recently available aftermarket bolt-bodies, we have found that the dimensions between individual Savage rifles varies greatly.  The handle is only available in a "tight fit" version for the perfect no-slop, no-wiggle attachment.  If the tabs on your bolt are larger than average, some fitting will be required by enlarging the steel collar with a file or stone.  Please measure the corresponding tabs on your bolt with vernier calipers before ordering.  (see detailed images for clarification).

When installing/uninstalling the Carbon Fiber handle, do not stand on or place excess force on the carbon fiber bolt handle as this can damage the aluminum threads inside the carbon fiber handle causing them to fail or loosen.  Always mount the bolt in a padded vise to assemble/disassemble.  Also, do not over tighten the large bolt screw when reassembling.

The Carbon Fiber handle and the steel collar are assembled to stay together permanently with a metal epoxy which has an advertised 4500 PSI strength once cured.  They are not designed to be disassembled.
