The MPA Premium Bolt Action Muzzle Brake is specifically designed to be used when extreme recoil reduction is required to allow the shooter to stay on target for follow up shots. Using MPA's special testing system, they have tweaked the design to achieve a 63% reduction in recoil. The COWL Induction Brake uses a specially designed porting system to effectively use the gas moving down the barrel in front of the projectile to reduce felt recoil.
The reverse jam nut collar system utilizes a revers thread to push the collar up against the shoulder of the barrel. It not only eliminates the need for ground shims, but also aligns the ID of the brake perpendicular with the shoulder of the barrel, minimizing initial point of impact shift. This design is licensed to MPA from Faxon Industries.
