This baffle is used when converting your Savage Arms .223 or similar caliber rifle to a chassis system utilizing AICS pattern magazines. Savage uses a longer bolt baffle for their smaller calibers to limit the bolt throw. Chassis using AICS pattern magazines require a shorter bolt baffle to allow more bolt travel for proper feeding.

Note: not required with the Savage Axis
