Choate's Tactical stock has a CNC machined aluminum bedding block molded into the stock for a solid mount. This stock has sling swivel studs on both sides and a 10.5 inch long slot for Harris bipod adapter under the forend. Bipod adapter is included.
This stock is for Center Feed Short Action Savage rifles with a Action Bolt spacing of 4.410". Please measure the spacing for your action bolts before ordering.
If the magazine well/bottom metal on your stock is molded in/not removable, you will need the Savage Short Action Bottom Metal (OEM) in order for the stock to work for you. (Like the Savage 110 Apex Predator that uses the AXIS magazine)
This stock ONLY fits rifles where the magazine release is part of the magazine!
It will NOT fit the Savage detachable magazine rifles with the accurate-mag bottom metal that uses the AI magazine.
There will be an 3/16 gap under the safety on all the Choate Savage Varmint, Tactical and Sniper stocks. The action should only touch on the V of the bedding block and back of the recoil lug. The gap at the back is normal for Savage actions when installed in Choate stocks.
