Remington 700 Short Action CMod by Choate

Choate's new rifle chassis system is a truly modular, versatile platform that allows you to configure your rifle to your needs. The chassis is the heart of the system, which is precision CNC machined from a solid piece of aluminum. The Choate Modular (CMod) stock allows the user to quickly change the forend and butt stock without having to remove the rifle from the chassis so you never lose zero. 

Each chassis comes with two magazines and a set of action screws. Forends come with mounting bolts and a bipod adaptor designed to be used with Harris bipods. All the stocks and forends are compatible with each other, giving the user a wide range of options.

The CMod stock utilizes the time tested magazine release system used on AR-style platform rifles. This eliminates accidentally dropping the magazine by hitting a release lever stuck in front of the trigger guard. The CMod magazine will accept rounds up to 2.850" in length. It also fits rounds in the .308 Winchester family, like .243 Win, .260 Rem, and 7mm-08 Rem, as well as other popular calibers like 6mm Remington, 257 Roberts, and 7mmx57mm Mauser.

**To complete your CMod Chassis you will need a CMod forend and CMod buttstock. They are available in the following options:

• CMod Tactical Forend: has a wide flat bottom to give solid stability when shooting from sandbags. Comes with a long T-rail and bipod adapter.
• CMod Sniper Forend:has a flat area in front of the receiver for shooting off sandbags and a sloped front section so when using a bipod, the legs of the bipod fold up next to the barrel. This prevents the bipod legs from catching on items when not in use. It comes with a short T-rail and bipod adapter.
• CMod Tactical Buttstock: comes with an adjustable LOP spacer system and a one-inch rubber recoil pad. The LOP is adjustable from 12.5" - 13.5" with the two 1/2" spacers that come with the stock. Additional spacers are available in 1/4", 1/2", and 3/4" to a max LOP of 14.5". Also available is a very soft LimbSaver recoil pad.
• CMod Custom Tactical Buttstock: comes with an adjustable cheekpiece and butt plate. The adjustable cheekpiece has 3/4" of adjustment with thumb lock knob. The aluminum 3-way adjustable butt plate gives you side to side, up and down and LOP adjustment of 1.5".
