Splatmats do not soak up liquids, oils, or solid matter. If your Splatmat gets dirty most spills can be wiped up with a cloth. It is not recommended to let anything sit or dry on your Splatmat but if this happens try using warm soapy water to clean first. Then if necessary, us a mild solvent such as rubbing alcohol. In very few cases a different solvent will be needed such as brake cleaner or acetone.
Even though Splatmats are solvent resistant, certain chemicals (bleach or UV) may discolor your Splatmat. This will not affect the performance of the Splatmat. Do not use Permanent Marker as it cannot be cleaned off. Also, do not cut on the Splatmat as this will disfigure it.
