As Dave mentioned above these stocks are GREAT. I also have a Remington 700 SPS Tac in 308 with 20 ". Installed without any problems and performed perfect at the range. So glad i didn't purchase any other stock. With the money saved on this it will go to better glass. Solid stock and will recommend everyone to purchase it from Tactical Works. P.S. ask for Lisa!

Have not received yet but i think i just bought the last one man did i get lucky. I thought i was gonna have to modify the regular stock for detachable mag. Literally just ordered the other one within minutes of finding this out.

Didn't know what to expect when I ordered this stock, but I'm very pleased with it. The inletting is superb for the Badger M5. I actually expected the stock to weigh more, but this could definitely be shoulder fired without any problems. Can't wait to go the range tomorrow and see how tight I can get the groups. I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

Amazing how much easier it is to work the bolt. Being left handed, the small factory bolt knob was ackward working the action. With the oversized knob, it takes much less stress on my wrist and very smooth. I cut the factory knob off with a hacksaw, faced the cut with a file and drilled the hole for the stud using a drill press & vise. I did have to have a friend TIG weld stud in place. Very minor cleanup of weld and spray paint. Instructions in box are clear and straight forward. Worth every dime to me.

My first R700 308 (5R) went into an AICS. For my SPS Tac, I decided to make it a budget midrange gun and in doing so selected the Choate over the B&C A2. Glad I did. Nice heft without being overweight. Very solid with a nice meaty vertical grip angle. I just installed the Choate monopod, which is a good deal at $25. The gun shoots 0.5-0.7 MOA consistently in this stock, so it works fine. With the varmint barrel profile, the channel does get a little close to the underside of the bbl, but as long as you don't place excessive pressure on top of the stock with hard support underneath the fore end (i.e. bipod), you should be able to avoid contact.

Can't go wrong with this stock at this price.

If you use Magpul PMAGs and would like to have extra rounds ready to go, the maglink is a great way to provide that. Two magazines are always better than one!

I like it. Fits the stock on my 308 AR MAGPUL UBR pretty well. Sets my sigh plane better in-line with my tactical 3-18x52 scope. Is also much more comfortable than the hard plastic stock.

the loops are uniform and are a perfect fit for .270. Stitching and materials appear to be bomb-proof!

The quality is top notch, a nice fit on my Gunsite Scout. my only issue is that the exterior shell holders are to small in length for 308 shells. the lead hangs out way to far to form a comb that will snag everything walking in the woods. occasionally scrapes your arm too. good for collecting empties

Fits on my r700 aac-sd perfectly! Was very easy to install and stays in place. My biggest concern was the knob twisting but it never has. Great product for an easy upgrade.
