Fit pretty good had to remove a little from the stock for it to close completely. Also quite heavy, I will probably take it to the shop and mill the center out to reduce some weight

Absolutely improved extraction on my Savage Model 10. I can draw the bolt slowly without dropping the casing on the ammo stack.

The tactical bolt is a much needed upgrade over the standard Savage bolt handle. The larger knob size makes bolt manipulation much easier due to its larger 1 inch diameter grip area and increased weight for a bit of extra leverage. Angle of the bolt handle is ideal to minimize closed bolt "stick out" and allows plenty of room to clear mounted scopes and accessories. The finish matches well with the matte factory finished gen 2 M10 Tactical actions.

Bolt knob worked great. The o rings included were actually a little to thick to completely close the gap. I looked in my o ring kit and tried a few thinner o rings and the gap is nearly gone. This is on an 80s model Howa action so the bolt may be slightly different than the newer models. Great solid product.

My new savage axis 2 in 6.5 Creedmoor wouldn't eject the cases and I was PO'd. I looked around and found Tacticle works and their replacement extractor and ejector kit. I ordered it and it came pretty fast. It took longer to gather the tools than it did to replace the ejector and extractor. I replaced the ball detent and extractor and it worked great with no failures at all. Then I replaced the ejector and spring and it will send the cases spinning out into the way yonder. Outstanding!!!!!!!

Facts:
* Did not fit my Savage Short Action Centerfeed model 12 as it was supposed to.
* Rear Aluminum Block needed to be significantly modified.
* Bolt release (top right) would not work, due to rear block way out of spec.
* Action screws were not correct lengths.
* Called Choate Machine, sent pics and video to them. Have not heard back yet, but in fairness...they were nice folks on the phone.
This is my 2nd Choate stock. Other one was Super Sniper on my Remington and it fit perfectly.

Well made. You can see it will hold up with a lot of use. Velcro straps are the exact right length. No extra hanging over to irritate your cheek. The size of the pad fits perfectly on my MPA Matrix chassis cheek riser. Definitely recommend it. It is a little thin so I had to add a very thin layer of extra padding underneath. But that is a personal thing and each person has their own padding preference. Glad I bought it. Looks great on the rifle as an added bonus.

Can you put a spot of paint or pen color on your spring. I mixed them up and it took awhile to find your new one.

I installed this in a Savage I've been shooting for over 20 years. I had the factory extractor parts replaced under warranty, and have replaced them a couple of times since, but it never really helped. The weak extraction has been my only complaint with this rifle. I took it out for the first time after installing this yesterday, and was amazed. I actually like my Savage again! Thanks!
