Well made product at a great price.

Quality cheek riser at a great price. I cut a notch out of mine so I don't have to remove the cheek riser to remove the bolt. The polymer is of really good quality.

This stock can take AICS style mags if you have a gunsmith do the work. 1st, the cutout for the trigger guard is a little narrow and will need to be widened. Most importantly, there are aluminum stop plates that come down from the bedding block that need to be shortened. supply a accu-mag and a couple of rounds loaded without powder and primers, and the gunsmith can mill down those stop plates to the correct length. Lastly, go to a hardware store and get some various lengths of SS socket head bolts(1/4 X 28) because the factory bolts are likely to be too short, as was the case with mine. Lastly, have your scope base and action bedded while your at it for accuracy.

I very much like the concept of this product. I purchased several. I gave it three stars because whatever they use as adhesive does not work well. I cleaned the surface very well with the provided alcohol wipes. A week after putting them on 3 of my rifles they started to come off. They desperately need to update their adhesive. Great product other than that.

I purchased 2 of your Savage Extractor/Ejector kits. One for a M10 .308 and the other for a M110 6.5 CM. Both are rifles i shoot in PRS style matches as well as hunting.
The kits improved the mechanical function on both rifles 100%.

Great product, versatile fit. I have one on every bolt gun I own. Which is more than a few.

The best upgrade for your savage. It’s especially helpful with shorter cartridges like 300 BLK.

These are some of the best cheek rests on the market. I was so impressed with my first order. I ordered a second. Do yourself a favor and order one of these.

I was growing leary of my extractor not ejecting my .308 cases properly. The Extractor would let go prematurely, dropping the empty case onto the top of the magazine.

Well, this kit is the solution. Extraction and ejection is very positive and the brass gets kicked out clear of the ejection port. With authority. This kit works.

Works extremely well for the price. Easy to remove, but a little temperamental to install. Overall, I recommend it. The "small" seems like an excellent size. I think the regular/large model would be too large to clear lower scopes or larger scope rings.

These kits are a good upgrade. Savage 110 variants are often not great on ejection

This is third Choate Ultimate Varmint rifle stock I purchased. It is the only standard commercially produced aftermarket stock I'm aware of with a profile similar to the SVD-63 Dragunov sniper rifle. Most people who have handled a Draguov rifle can understand and appreciate how ergonomic and "correct" the stock feels especially when the rifle is being shot from a prone or sitting position. The feel characteristic of the Dragunov's stock is well duplicated by the Ultimate Varmint stock when attached to a bolt-action rifle. Also, I believe the recoil characteristics of the rifle is also changed a bit. When shooting heavy bullets from a large caliber round (a 220 gain HPBT from a 300 Win Mag) from a Remington 700 Long Range fitted with this stock, the recoil feels more like an abrupt and heavy but controllable push. When the same bullet is shot from the rifle with the Bell & Carson Varmint/Tactical stock the rifle originally came in, the recoil felt more like a combination of a sharp upward snap and violent push.

The stock is a very heavy with features that lends itself to a very comfortable and stable hold especially for target shooting. However, if you are planning to go hunting, the weight added by the stock and its overall size will make the rifle too heavy and cumbersome to carry for a long period or for making an accurate shot from an off hand position.

There are a few other items that a buyer needs to be aware off.
1) The stock comes with a high and a low cheek riser that can be attached in three (forward, middle, rear) positions on the top of the stock. When the riser is attached to the forward position, there will only be enough distance for the bolt to be cycled and pulled for extracting and injecting the cartridge in the action. There is not enough room for the bolt to be removed from the action without first removing the entire riser.
2) When the high cheek riser is attached, the rear of the riser will usually block the front of a cleaning rod's handle and prevent the entire length of the rod from being inserted into the barrel for cleaning. This can be remedied by removing the riser, using an extra-long rod or attaching an additional segment to rod to make it longer.
3) The Ultimate Varmint Stock (for both the Remington 700 Short Action and Long Action) has a blind magazine well. There is no opening on the bottom of the mag well to accommodate a floor plate or detachable magazine. Ammunition in the magazine can be loaded or unloaded only from the top.

A similar stock from H&C, McMillian and most other aftermarket stock manufactures will usually cost about twice or three times as much. Overall, this is a great stock that I will recommend for someone who wants a sturdy, heavy and ergonomically well-designed stock on a rifle to be used in long range target shooting.

Ordered this as an upgrade to my savage 12FV. Fit was perfect and went to gather quickly. Once complete I had a very stable and accurate platform.

Amazingly nice product. So happy that someone has made the effort to understand the needs of the market and contributing to helping others. No longer do I have the issues of learning the a spent case sitting on the mag. Simple easy fix!! Thanks you!!
