this kit is the perfect fix for the issues seen in savage extractors. it resulted in a better outcome and was less expense than sending the rifle back to the factory

I really like the orex chassis I've got several And they always perform very well. The accuracy is increased,I like the feel,the weight is great for benchrest and they fit real nice.

Advantages: The weight and design is great for benchrest.

Disadvantages: To heavy for off hand but that's not what it was designed for.

Works as intended. Much better than the small factory bolt handle. Tactical Works is A+, great communication!

My axis 308 failed to extract about 20% of the time and when it did work the cases dropped out the side with no force. Installed this kit in about 10 minutes and have cycled empty brass and loaded rounds hundreds of times without failure. By design it will be harder to close the bolt because of the longer extractor has to be shoved over the case but I can live with that.

Advantages: It works. Extracts nice and tosses spent cases plenty far.

Disadvantages: Will make it harder to close the bolt and no break in period will make it better its just the trade off of having a working rifle.

Tactical Works was the best to work with. They communicate well and follow through with what they say they're going to do. I highly recommend Tactical Works!

Nice and hand filling. Top piece is flexible and bends to fit my FX Crown. That helps move my hand back away from the trigger. Which is what I wanted from a larger grip...

Product came right on time and packaged sufficiently. The staff were very helpful in answering some questions I had pertaining to build quality. This stock is all as advertised and SOLID as a rock. My Howa barreled action seemed to drop right in and the factory trigger guard fit like a glove too. The weight is hefty and for a varmint rifle that's ok.its not going to be one for the long walk.

Advantages: Leaps and bounds better than the factory stock. Barrel channel is generous enough for barrel blanks if that's what your into. Easy drop in fit.
Stiffness, the aluminum bedding block is solid.

Disadvantages: For some the Weight.
The bipod adaptor may give on some models of bipods. A set screw would alleviate it I read in some of the reviews.
The sling swivel attachment points only fit the small end slings.

This has to be the best deal in stocks. It is a solid foundation for whatever you intend to do with your rifle. This is a must buy.

I did have to remove a small piece (half of a dime) of overflow plastic in the receiver area. It only took me a few minutes to collect the proper tool and complete the job. Other than that, I had no other issues assembling the rifle.

Advantages: Solid foundation. No more flimsy plastic

Disadvantages: It is heavy, if that is a concern.

Installed the ejector spring. Didn’t help much

Quality product at a good price. It's my fault that I ordered the wrong one for my Savage Axis and never got to use it. If ya'll know anyone that needs it I'll sell it for 20 bucks! Lol.

Advantages: Much easier to use than the original.

Disadvantages: Make sure you order the one that's actually for the gun you have!

Legit garbage. Tried for like an hour trying to get this thing to go on and could never get close. Stupid design. Literally threw it in the trash. Thanks MDT. Save your money.
