Just received mine today and installed it in my R700 SA stock. I had to remove the top plastic fitting and hex socket nut to get it to fit inside the grip. It is possible that with some grinding down of the black plasting end fitting you could keep those items on. I have an early version of the stock, so it's possible that newer variants will not have the interference I had.

Once the cap is screwed on, it seems solid enough. Not as fine as an Accu-Shot monopod, but a good deal for the price. The plastic bottom cap might slide around a bit. That could be good or bad. When you tighten the lock nut, it takes out the play and is decently solid. You will have to screw it in all the way to retract (no "quick knob" option, but again, for the price....

I have not taken this out to the range yet, so I will check to see if there is movement under recoil or not.
My first R700 308 (5R) went into an AICS. For my SPS Tac, I decided to make it a budget midrange gun and in doing so selected the Choate over the B&C A2. Glad I did. Nice heft without being overweight. Very solid with a nice meaty vertical grip angle. I just installed the Choate monopod, which is a good deal at $25. The gun shoots 0.5-0.7 MOA consistently in this stock, so it works fine. With the varmint barrel profile, the channel does get a little close to the underside of the bbl, but as long as you don't place excessive pressure on top of the stock with hard support underneath the fore end (i.e. bipod), you should be able to avoid contact.

Can't go wrong with this stock at this price.
The quality will not disappoint. Some very very light sanding to get the BDM to slip into place was done with 300 grit paper by hand. Attached the Receiver and torqued down the Torx screws. Was ringing the gong at 600 yds a few minutes later.
Judd about  Accu-Shot AFAR Kit:
Excellent product for the Choate stock of my Savage 110. Fits snuggly in the rail but be carefull because it can slip off when the screws are not properly tightened. It reminds me of my Anschutz target rifle that has a similar rail system.
Great pad, had it with me moose hunting, never have to look for your ammo, it`s strapped right to the gun. I am going to order some more, for my other rifles.
as a left shooter this works great, the straps are adjustable to fit any stock will be buying a second one for my girlfriends rig.
Great quality, fast shipping!
I was looking for another Eagle pak and beings they are not being made any more I ordered this pak and it is just as nice if not better than my old Eagle pak.
Thanks Tactical Works.
This one fit my Stevens 200 like a glove. This and the bolt handle I bought here were shipped Fast and work Perfect. Now I need a better stock. Thank you Tactical Works.
Tommy Dinkle about  TacOps Oversized Tactical Bolt Knob:
I could ramble on about the service I experienced when I purchased an over sized bolt knob from Tac Ops, but the facts are I ordered the product on the 17th after hours had a response immediately, and received my part on the 20th. Great product and great hassle free service. Thanks.
Great construction, Looks great and Very comfortable. Lightning fast shipping. Will buy every future pack right here.

Thanks!
Just ordered my new stock and triggerguard fastest shipping i have ever seen, packaged real well, great product and great fitment.... will order again..... thanks......
Very well made and shipping is GREAT!! I got it 2 days before I was expecting it. THX
A drop-in fit for my Remington 700 SPS ACC action. Alignment is perfect! Nice spacing in the barrel channel. No noticable deflection and NO barrel contact, unlike the flimsy stock it came with.

Set it up as "budget M40A3". Awesome rifle at about 1/3 the cost of the full-tilt issued model and plenty good enough for me!!!

Using Wyatt's bottom metal piece. This required the tiniest amount of sanding of the composite at the front of the magwell and to increase the length for the rear mounting screw tab. Only removed a few thousandths of an inch of composite in both places and it fit like a glove. No metal modification required on the stock whatsoever. Torqued the mounting screws to 50 inch-pounds with a drop of blue LocTite and everything is rock-solid.

A VERY satisfied customer.
Received my stock today and had it installed in 20minutes. No real fitting to do, but lots of flashing at the overmolded areas to trim up. Nice product but you'd think they would pay better attention to the details.
OUTSTANDING FIT, cant wait to take it to the range, thanks Lisa....A+Rating
installed on my remington 700 tactical with hogue stock. fits and feels great
Lisa this is my 2nd Review after taking it to the range. Outstanding stock for the price, I also added a Harris Bi-pod, overall i have a new inexpensive platform with my Savage Model 11, now to look for an inexpensive model for the rifle.
I borrowed a buddies cheek pad with pouch last year when I started muzzleloading so I could keep a couple of speed loaders in the pouch. When I went to purchase my own I was supprised to see the model he had was $60.00. I started doing some research and found Tactical Works Inc. and the Tac Ops Amo Cheek Pad. This pad appeared to be better made and had bullet holders on the outside of the pouch which the other model did not. Best of all the price was almost half! I placed the order early in the morning and had the item at my door step in two days. Out of the box, this item did not let me down. Everything from the fabric to the stitching is heavy duty and will last for years. I will definately purchase more of these for other rifles and will definately order them from Tactical Works Inc. Thanks.
Fits my Savage Model 10 like a glove !With the Weaver Tactical scope, the bucks dont stand a chance this deer season.
Super high quality and worth every buck! I put a piece of foam underneath the pad to raise my eye perfectly in line with the scope. The soft "velour" type material makes it comfortable. Overall very pleased with this product. Fast shipping too, these guys are on it!!
Nice upgrade for the Choate stock. I have one mounted to my Remington tactical 700. Allows for vertical and horizontal adjustments. Also, the plates are made of very durable material. This upgrade is worth the while (in my opinion) for the serious long-range shooter.
Bought this stock for Rem. 700 in 300 win mag. & it is awesome. Dropped it in in 5 minutes perfect fit! They offer great Military discount. Thanks for your support! I'll be buying about 4 more & sending everyone I know your way! Super quality & I like the less polished finish it grips in the field better & you would be stupid to pay for the name on the other stocks as this is top shelf all the way!
mike about  Choate Cheek Piece "Tall":

The Tactical Operations Cheek Pad Coyote Brown arrived sooner than expected and in good order. It is a functional addition to my 1909 Arg. Mauser "scout rifle" and fits well even with the foam riser that I added. The cheek pad is well-made,looks great, and offers excellent storage. Kudos to TW and to Lisa.
I bought this cheek pad for my 308 rifle. I'm impressed with its quality materials and craftmanship. I'll definitely buy more of these. Yes,made in the USA! I wish I could see more of these products.
