This is a superior unit. The bottom plate is a superior grade of aircraft aluminum, and the bow of the trigger guard is titanium. It does not have the squared tactical profile common to some bottom metal for Tikkas, but rather, it keeps the more graceful, rounded profile of the factory plastic. One of the most exciting aspects of this replacement is that new action screws and ferrules were included so the new bottom metal’s rigidity will be complimented by pillar bedding. The cost is among the lowest of any replacement bottom metal for the t3x. I believe it represents an excellent value and an upgrade to function, accuracy, and aesthetic for your Tikka.

I think this is the best enhancement available for the money for a rifle with everything otherwise well-designed and well-made.

Outstanding quality and service! Fast delivery with follow up emails including install instructions and tracking. The stock is better than expected and has finally turned my 110 Tactical into the rifle it always wanted to be. Fits the heavy bull barrel nicely with a tight yet floating fit. A little tweaking was needed on the fixed magazine to allow it to drop in and allow the bolt to move freely. I would consider this minor and expected more fit issues but alas it was a drop in fit. Tactical Works customer service is stellar! Thank you!

Advantages: Helps with chambering and extraction. The savage 110 Elite Precision in 6.5 creedmoor is sloppy out of the box with chambering and extraction with handloads and factory match ammo. This aftermarket kit helps with these issues quite a bit.

Disadvantages: A little tricky to install yourself if you have shaky hands like I do but if you take your time and follow the directions tactical works sends in a detailed email it can be done.

I upgraded the factory bolt handle on my Stevens 200 and I now have the perfect amount of leverage to cycle the bolt.

Advantages: Easy installation, perfect size all around bolt handle.

Disadvantages: It won’t make ammo cheap again.

Product seems to be cheaply made and might not stand up long. It does hold 10 rounds but with a full mag and weak spring it’s a functional 7 round magazine... still more than the 4 it originally held

Disadvantages: Won’t cycle all 10, spring is weak, plastic is pretty thin

Tactical Works is awesome to work with. They accommodate the customer with great curtesy and professional manners. Their style of business is what other vendors should copy from.

Advantages: This rifle stock is extremely accurate when finished properly. I also did a minimum of glass bedding to mate up to the action. If you're looking for ultimate accuracy this stock is the best.

I've been using various Choate bolt action rifle stocks for over 20years starting with the Ultimate Sniper Stock. However I'm really pleased with this particular Tactical model design very clean lines and stability when shooting. Can't wait to see how this particular one performs next week in conjunction with my Rem.700 Milspec II action.
Already have one on a Rem SA Varminter I bought used which won me over to this design.

Advantages: Good solid construction and fit at a very reasonable price.

Disadvantages: None really. Unless you prefer fancy stock finishes at fancy high prices.

Put new tac handle on my Savage Hog Hunter in 338 win. Just a little more grab for Moose camp.

Product fit and finish was amazing. The bolt now glides smooth in my savage model 11 VT. Install was rather simple.

Advantages: Large surface area to manipulate the bolt which increased cycling speed.

If you are having extraction or ejection issues this could be your fix.

Advantages: Was having extraction and ejection issues with my savage scout. Installed the extractor and ball only. Fixed 100%. The factory extractor lacked the proper length to hold the shell in the bolt face until ejection was complete.

Disadvantages: None. Simple easy affordable fix for a sometimes problem.

This is a great little tool. I makes disassembly of Tikka T3 bolt for cleaning very easy on you and the firing pin assembly both. Makes reassembly just as easy.

Fits perfectly ang gives the rifle a much nicer feel. Didn't negatively affect the site picture and improved the cheek weld. Highly recommended.

Adding this to the cheek riser makes a huge difference when training in colder environments.

Advantages: Best cheek weld in cold/wet applications. Comfort. Improved cheek weld in hot & Humid conditions where sweat and fluids cause cheek movement on plastic surfaces.

Disadvantages: Surface prep is a must for correct application to remain in place.

Improves feel of stock riser against cheek in both hot and cold temp. extremes.

Advantages: Better cheek weld vs skin on plastic if cold, wet or fluids are present (sweat).

A perfect fit and easy installation. Excellent product to forego the expensive gunsmith installation of a thread knob. Nice to be able to convert that Vanguard back to stock in 30 years when it becomes a collectable!
